Busy at work!!

Our latest design is The Everything Bag- a variation somewheres between a beach bag, a weekender, and a catch-all purse! This bag came to be on a random afternoon when I had a few hours to spare and a creative mind.

This bag measures 15" high, 18" wide, and 4" deep. All bags have an interior pocket measuring the entire width, and divided into multiple sections. Most designs also have an exterior pocket to throw your phone or magazine inside as you are on the go!

Los Angeles Fashion District

Living an hour away from one of the United States fashion capitals has finally paid off. For those of you that are southern California locals, you know what it's like. Blocks and blocks of anything you can imagine, and sometimes wish you only knew what to do with it all. Well, I found my place- The Textile District!

A few weeks ago mom and I were able to take a day trip along with a wonderful donor in order to stock up on fabrics. It was a small slice of heaven in the midst of hell. As you walk through the slums of downtown Los Angeles, the fashion and fame is not what you see. Instead you see trash, homeless, and hurt. You see heartbreak, sorrow, and a cry for help. But you also see people who are making a life for themselves, people who own shops and people who run them. And then there are people like us.

After about 4 or 5 hours, we had walked all of about four blocks in the ten or so making up the Textile District. We had found a few jewels, but it was our last stop that made the day. We found a shop containing fabrics we hadn't seen in the rest, fabrics that were eye catching and in our budget. Not to mention, cotton!!

With that said, more products have been made and many more are in the works! A big thank you to an amazing donor who made this inventory purchase possible- it could not have happened without you!

Product Collection: Lady Work-belts

If you are anything like me, this means you wear workout clothes the majority of the time in which you are not 'required to wear real clothes'. Obviously if you ask me, I will say there is nothing better. But there is one small catch- NO POCKETS!

So, after thinking I need a way to carry around a phone, a this or a that, and realized a traditional apron simply wouldn't cut it, the Lady Work-belt was formed. It is similar to the good ol', and might I say manly and ugly, half apron you can find at your local hardware store. Only its.... well wayyyy cuter ;)

This is for now, our top-selling product, and you can see why. It is functional, adorable, affordable, and makes a fantastic gift idea (as one of our clients suggested by making them into a true woman's tool belt with a tape measure, screwdriver set, etc.).

Majority of our orders are custom requests in regards to textile design and waist size, but you can also choose from our pre-made standard selection. 

Lady Work-belts are available in one or two sided, and lined. Each side of the Lady Work-belt contains a two pockets, with an option for three smaller pockets.

Alright then... I'm Mom... :)

Meet Mom!

It comes to mind that in this season of the journey I'm on, it's not all about me. It's about those around me, and those whom I can help. The Lord provides all my needs, and if at possible, I want to share 'em. This is one of the most interesting chapters in my life as to date, for I can actually see the hand of God working.  I am excited about the end results, for only He knows them. But I am a servant, who is willing to do His will in order to glorify Him.

I am excited to be a part of this vision, Hope 'n Motion. Sewing makes me tick, and if I can make something that makes someone else tick, so be it...

Aside from the Lord, who is my priority, I love to sew. And not everything, but I like to make quilts, and bags, aprons, fun things.. Well things I think are fun!!

I love to garden! Hearing the birds sing... feeling the dirt in my finger nails... the sun on my back... the warmth in my soul....

And then to end a day in a good read, yaaa... thats what I enjoy! All the while of knowing that there is a good meal somewhere able to be cooked from the things I've grown... And me and Bambi together, well we are creating some good tasting foods...

With all this I hope I can show Punkin' how to love the Lord, how to be a woman of God, and enjoy what God has created her to be... (Fyi, Punkin' is my grand-daughter :))

I have a heart for others, and my passion is to see Kingdom on Earth. After traveling the world as a missionary for a year, my life will never be the same. I have been wrecked for the better, and I wouldn't take back a minute of the pain or process.

I love children, and I believe they are the hope of our future. Love them with all we have and the coming generations will flourish in the love of God.

Photography is the way I see life. While I don't claim to take a great picture everytime I pick up a lens, I like to think God has given me an eye. Macro is my favorite, and I love the life it brings to the smallest of things.

And as for Hope n' Motion... Well, it's a vision from the Lord. A vision to bring hope, even to one person by assisting in the absolution of poverty. Hope is a word I hold very dear in my life, and after feeling the word had to be in this project, it was time to come up with a meaning... Helping Overcome Poverty's Existence.

I love to sew. Aprons and bags are probably my favorite. I love to get creative and just see what happens! These are always for sale, and portions of the proceeds go to HNM charities. So please, if you see something you like, let me know!!

Always Growing...

When a vision happens, it's rare that its entirety will come at once. Rather it's a growth process. A sprout here, a blossom there.

Well this week both happened.

I was driving to my mom's house using the back streets I am not fond of. Personally, it just takes way to long. Turns out, I went that way for a reason, and being stopped at every single red light gave me plenty of time to think. H.O.P.E 'n Motion represents many things. But it hit me like a brick how true that was in this circumstance.

Case of ESV Bibles

 Sunday at church (Harvest Christian Fellowship), I went into the bookstore to find that they had ESV bibles on sale. $1 each. For both Old and New Testament. Can it get any better?? In that moment I said to someone I was with, 'I wish I could buy these to give to the homeless we see.' Well, a few days later, on this long drive to mom's, there was a man, sign in hand. The type I wish I had those bibles for. The rest of the drive my mind went hyper-speed. How to expand the vision I had, and what to do in the mean time. The time before I could do everything I wanted.

So what did I come to...


We will take fabric of all kinds (we have started with large pieces of left overs), and make them into bags. Its a draw-string style backpack. Easy, simple, and cost-effective. Inside the bag sits a bottle of water, a granola bar (or other snack), and a bible. There will be a note inside that is a very simple blurb of H.O.P.E., as well as a church card, and a prayer. We will carry them in our cars at all times, cause in today's economy, you never know when you may need them.

Hope 'n Motion will be helping overcome poverty's existence while in motion...

The Vision That Started It All...

In June 2010, sitting in my room in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, I was given a vision...


In a few weeks I would be returning home to the States and it was time I put my gifts to use, to build Kingdom in a different kind of way. I had taken pictures from around the world, ranging from the most beautiful and renown sites to the severely impoverished. I had been told time and time again that I had an eye and better make use of it. 


Well, a few months later, after settling back into the swing of everyday life, my vision expanded. My mom is a quilter and over the years I have developed a creative niche and passion to follow when it comes to fabric. So how does this all align, you ask? Hope 'n Motion is the answer... 


Hope 'n Motion was formed from the word HOPE. I have a huge appreciation for the word, and believe that no one can live without it, and with it anything is possible. I believe it to the degree that my right wrist will forever tell you. In order to make HOPE something that could in turn give back through my products, it developed an even deeper meaning. 


Helping Overcome Poverty's Existence


So Hope 'n Motion... Well it's me and mom putting ouo talents and passion together in order to raise finance to bring Kingdom by reaching out to those struggling in poverty. Whether you purchase a photograph, an apron, a quilt, or simply donate to the cause, a portion of the proceeds go directly back to local and world-wide charities that serve this cause. 


So please, help us as we help those around us. God's love has gotten many of us through our darkest days, and now it's our turn to pour it back out.
